November 1, 2019

As you may or may not know, GETDOT Cincy is associated with GETDOT in Columbus.  Unfortunately, GETDOT Columbus has decided to discontinue at the end of the year.  Therefore, after nearly 10 years of fabulous networking and support of some of the wonderful children’s charities, GETDOT Cincy will cease to operate immediately.

As President, I would like to thank all those who have been involved with the organization since it began in 2010.  A special thank you to Robin Throckmorton, who led the organization for a number of years and supported the volunteer organization by providing a website, signage, admin support and moral support.

Others who have participated on the board include Tom Mobley, Mary Carol Parker, Kathy Cox, Rahul Gupta, Sweta Joshi, Brett Schwartz, Marla Cohen, Kyle Cook, and Mary Berger.

Thanks also to the many “GETDOTTERS” who showed up and contributed door prizes on a regular basis.  You know who you are!

It has been a great run.  Our networking approach brought together a lot of new friendships, reconnected people who were friends with people and lost contact and got back together at a meeting.

The connection of raising money for small to mid-sized children’s charities provided an opportunity for all of us to “pay it forward”.  Helping these smaller charities has been so gratifying and we are proud of what we have accomplished.

To the charities we have partnered with over the years, thank you for your support and connecting with us.  We hope that the monies raised have been helpful in your mission and that along the way some of our folks have become involved with your charities.

As the old saying goes, “the only constant in life is change”, we all will move on in our lives, which become busier and busier with each passing year.  My hope is that you will stay connected with the people you have come to know through GETDOT and continue to support some of the charities you have come to know through our group.

The very best to you and yours!

Sincerely,

Fred Eck

President GETDOT Cincy
